TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - A New Jersey lawmaker wants to let residents shop outer New Jersey for hale condition insurance.
Assemblyman Jay Webber says his proposal would let New Jerseyans secure freedom from disease care coverage that most expedient. see the various meanings of good suits their needs and budgets.
He plans to unveil legislation Friday with Arizona Congressman John Shadegg, who is sponsoring similar federal legislation.
New Jerseyans and businesses currently can't buy health insurance from companies not licensed in the state.
But Webber, a Morris County Republican, says allowing people to buy from insurers licensed in other states would make insurance more affordable by promoting competition.
An estimated 1.5 million New Jerseyans scarcity soundness insurance, or about 15 percent of state residents.
