New Flyer Industries reports US$1 billion in new orders over three months

(TSX:NFI.UN), a producer of heavy-duty buses, said Thursday it had booked US$1 billion worth of orders in the past three months and $2.8 billion to date this year. The Winnipeg-based company reports total spryness in U.S. dollars. New Flyer related it had been requested to make 1,482 buses in the most recent months. The largest fraternity came from the Chicago Transit Authority, but the company secured orders throughout Canada and the United States.
